The 2013 Palm Springs Fine Art Fair is set to return to the desert – the cultural goldmine in the Coachella Valley winter season. Over 9,500 serious art lovers gathered in the Palm Springs Convention Center in what many art aficionados referred to as “the best looking fine art fair in Southern California”. The fair has already proven to be a rare opportunity for wealthy second home owners, art-loving snowbirds, and weekend visitors from Canada, the Pacific northwest, L.A., and San Diego to experience the very best in post-war and contemporary art. Millions in art sales were generated, as several art works sold in the 6 figure range.

You get the best of both worlds. The 2013 Palm Springs Fine Art Fair is strategically scheduled during one of the busiest visitor weekends of the year in the region – Presidents Day Weekend. The population swells to over 800,000. The Palm Springs region is comprised of nine very wealthy cities including Indian Wells, Palm Desert, and Rancho Mirage, which boasts some of the highest incomes by zip code in America. The fair also coincides with the historical Palm Springs Modernism Week, which now in its 13th year, is a local and national tradition. In fact, The Palm Springs Fine Art Fair shares the Convention Center with the Palm Springs Modernism Show and Sale, assuring exhibitors maximum traffic flow of the region’s art and design mavens. It’s again shaping up to be the Desert’s premiere cultural weekend of the year.

Opening Night to Benefit the Palm Springs Art Museum
The Thursday, Feb. 14, St. Valentine’s Opening Night Gala will be one of the season’s hottest tickets. It benefits the Palm Springs Art Museum. With full promotional support from the 5,000 member museum, including free museum admission for our fairgoers, an even larger attendance is expected in 2013. Over 30 cultural institutions and museums from throughout the southwest joined us in 2012 as promotional partners. Based on the fair’s rousing success and excellent buzz, we are in the process of attracting many more cultural partners in 2013.
